Our Alchemist

Txai Matheus has been around since 2019. We met in a remote area in Minas Gerais at a common friend of ours Txai Patricki. Our Alchemist Matheus is a heart warming person not lacking a single bit of purity and is just overall amazing to be around. He inhabits many indigenous songs that he joyfully plays on his guitar to spread happiness and put smiles just as big as his on peoples faces. We immidiatly shared ideas and came to the conclusion to start working together. Since today he his one of our main forces in the production chain for our Rapé. Here we want to share a bit about his process and go inside the alchemy.

The main Ingredients

First we need to take care of receiving the major componets. Rapé consists of 2 main ingredients: Sacred Tobacco and Holy-Tree-Ashes

Holy Tree Ashes

The trees that are alchemisticly transformed into sacred ashes arrive directly from the amazon jungle processed by authentic indigenous tribes.

Checking the Ashes

The sacred ashes are obtained through a ritual that usually takes place directly on the tree. They go through a multi-stage screening process before they reach us in an extremely gentle and subtle way.

Special Tobacco

The Tobacco used in Rapé medicine is called Mapacho. It is usually preserved by rolling it into thick strands that whirl up into a pile of pure organic tobacco.

Cutting the strands bring the golden brown characteristist to the forefront that create a uniquely fragrance scent that is unmatched by any other Tobacco on our planet.
