The main sacred tool / instrument to serve Rapé/Hapé/Rume
 
You start by smudging and creating a ceremony based on your unique connection to the medicine of Rapé
 
There are countless styles and ways for working with the medicine
 
Most importantly is:
1. The focus on serving the person receiving to receive exactly what they need. no more no less.
2. Ask the person for their clear and simple intention. The intention is not made clear or spoken for you to know it but for the person.
Asking to inquire about the intention creates space and curiousity for the unspoken or forgotten deep wishes and needs of the heart to be known and worked with.
3. Be a clear channel for the healing and get your personality out of the way. For that will block the healing or prevent it's full potential and flow.
4. Be present, aware, receptive and alert in a relaxed way.
5. breathe constantly, deeply, fully and slowly.
 
Upon receiving your Tepi light a candle and smudge your self and the space.
Create a ceremony through which you connect to your instrument, welcoming it in your life, thanking life for all the gifts and the materials that made them selves available in order for the Tepi to be created.
Put some Hapé on the palm of your hand, thank master Tobacco and the whole rainforest and grandmother earth etc.
Put the Hapé inside your Tepi, breathe fully and slowly in, keep feeling the gratitude and blow all the Hapé out, giving the first medicine serve to life it self.
 
It is always recommended to sing for the spirits of tobacco and the sacred trees used to craft the medicine.
The spirits like that very much. Singing also soothes your own heart and that of the receiver.
 
Your Tepi must be protected at all times. It is a great responsibilty to keep the energy clean.
Remember therefore to peridically smudge and clean with a brush. (A piece of PaloSanto aka. sacred wood will be packed with the tepi).
 
The hummingbird (Colibri) is called Beija-flor in portugese and that literally means kissing the flowrs.
When you serve Rapé imagine yourself as a beautifuly glowing Colibri who polinates the people to bring them into floweration.
